Kettlebell Workouts

Muscle building, fat loss, and conditioning in an exercise all at once? Sound good? I bet it does. Kettlebell workouts and routines can enhance all that and more. Your strength and balance will also increase. Kettlebells have the potential to do so much and increase performance in every aspect – if you’re not using them, you’re missing out.

Russian elite forces have used the Kettlebell for exercises and workouts for years. They are the top choice for them. Kettlebells look like medium sized cannon balls with a handle on the top.

They have the ability to maximize your workout routines ten fold and exercise the entire body, while enhancing movement and muscles. Each routine you do with the Kettlebell will gradually improve and after a while you should see a huge difference in muscle gain/speed/balance/power – whatever you’re training for!

The two handed Kettlebell swing should be the first exercise a beginner should learn. Although simple, the two handed swing will begin to build your leg, abs, and lower back muscles. Three different areas, how can that not be efficient?

So, to begin the two handed swing, you should place your feet shoulder distance. Your toes should also be pointing out forward at about 12 o’clock. Bend your knees and grab your Kettleball. Begin swinging your arms back and forth like a pendulum (it would be best to get correct coaching on technique and NOT attempt this on your own). Do as many as you wish, although sets of 12-15 with rest in between is a good place to start depending on difficulty. Rinse and Repeat.

The greatest point about kettlebell workouts is the fact that you need virtually no equipment besides one or two kettlebells! Can you imagine the options? It’s a hot summers day and all you need to do is take one kettlebell (or 2) to the park and go through your routine! What a breath of fresh air – excuse the pun!

Kettlebell workouts should be used in combination with other exercises. Such as your cardio I.e running, skipping, cycling etc and resistance work such as weights and bodyweight exercises. Really, any small routine with the combination of the kettlebells will give you an intense and efficient work out. Remember to see any kind of performance increases your diet must always be top notch too.
